Question by : What cars have the best lease deals with no money down but still have the modern and hot aesthetic appeal?
I am a first time car shopper, and I can only afford to lease a car. I am having a hard time finding websites that dont offer all current car lease deals without having to choose every time i search a new car and new brand. I have no idea what a good car to lease would be, at a fairly cheap monthly rate. I am looking to get a good looking car, and depending on the price, wouldnt mind an SUV. Any suggestions?

Best answer:

Answer by jay
honda has some of the best deals.

Question by .: How do young people afford health insurance, cars, rent, school, etc. Even with 3 or 4 roommates in a studio?
appartment in an expensive area sucks up income. What if things aren’t within walking distance and no mass transit? where do people cut back. do they quit school and work 3 jobs? I think A/C is a good thing to cut back on provided none of them have asthma etc. Obviously, cable and phone bills can be cut back or eliminated. What is the best way for people to budget?

Best answer:

Answer by ladybugewa
Cooking at home instead of buying fast food every day can seriously cut down your grocery bills. You can get a bicycle if you can’t afford a car. You could give up cable TV, and go to your parents’ when you get sick.

Foster City, Calif. (PRWEB) March 27, 2012

Any parent with a teenager about to begin driving wonders how to balance safety and cost. CarInsurance.coms Best Cars for Teens list takes away some of the guesswork.

The good news is that a newer car with the right safety gear doesnt cost much more to insure than an old car, said CarInsurance.com managing editor Des Toups. The bad news is that your teen will be expensive to insure no matter what he or she ends up driving.

A newer car with crucial safety features such as electronic stability control (ESC) comes at a relatively small cost, at least as far as insurance goes, Toups said. The additional insurance cost of buying a car from the Best Cars for Teens list, compared with simply letting the teenager drive an existing family car, is less than $ 400 a year for the top-ranked models.

Its not the extra car that drives up your rates, Toups said. Its the kid.

CarInsurance.com used the Insurance Institute for Highway Safetys (IIHS) Top Safety Picks for 2008 as a starting point, then whittled down the list of 4-year-old vehicles by looking at current purchase prices, fuel economy and reliability. Each of the models shown sells for less than $ 15,000, according to Edmunds.com; gets more than 20 mpg, according to Fuelly.com; and has a better-than-average repair record, according to TrueDelta.com. Any one of them would be a safe choice, Toups said.

Of the 20 models that made the Best Cars for Teens list, the cheapest to insure is the 2008 Audi A3. Over five years, buying an A3 rather than the most expensive-to-insure model on the list, the Subaru Impreza, would save a parent $ 2,400 in insurance costs, Toups said. The complete list is below.

The CarInsurance.com analysis also compared a familys options when a young driver hits the road.

Parents should expect their rates to double, at minimum, Toups said, even if they dont buy an extra car for their new driver. If the family lives in a high-cost state and a teenage male is added to the policy, premiums could triple.

CarInsurance.coms comparison of rates for a sample Washington state family reveals how insurance costs can increase exponentially. The examples below are for a married couple driving a 2011 Honda Accord and a 2009 Chevrolet Traverse; with good credit and no car accidents or traffic violations; carrying policy limits of $ 100,000 for injury liability for one person, $ 300,000 for all injuries and $ 50,000 for property damage in an accident; and a $ 500 deductible on collision and comprehensive coverage. That couple would be in for quite a shock when their teenage son earns his drivers license. Heres an example of how their rates might change:

????Annual premium for married couple only: $ 1,536
????Adding new teen driver, no additional car: $ 4,406
????Adding new teen driver and car with liability coverage only: $ 4,376
????Teen driver excluded on parents policy; car for teen insured with liability on a separate policy: $ 6,192
????Married couple with new teen driver, adding 4-year-old car with liability, comprehensive and collision coverage identical to existing cars: $ 4,798 and up, depending on the model chosen.

Models are ranked by the vehicles impact on CarInsurance.coms hypothetical familys insurance bill over five years — until their 16-year-old turns 21.

The best cars for teens, with five-year insurance impact (all 2008 models unless otherwise noted), are:

1. Audi A3: $ 1,960

2. Honda Accord (four-door models): $ 2,040

3. Mercury Sable (with ESC): $ 2,610

4. Ford Taurus (with ESC): $ 2,670

5. Subaru Forester (with ESC): $ 2,750

6. Mercury Milan (2009 models with ESC): $ 2,790

7. Scion xB: $ 2,790

8. Nissan Rogue: $ 2,900

9. Honda Civic (2009 four-door models with ESC): $ 2,970

10. Ford Fusion (2009 models with ESC): $ 2,980

11. Hyundai Santa Fe: $ 3,050

12. Saturn VUE (built after 12/07): $ 3,180

13. Saab 9-3: $ 3,350

14. Volkswagen Jetta (2009 models): $ 3,480

15. Subaru Forester (2009 models): $ 3,600

16. Volkswagen Rabbit (2009 four-door models): $ 3,630

17. Mitsubishi Lancer (2009 models with ESC): $ 3,980

18. Ford Escape (2009 models): $ 4,120

19. Subaru Legacy (with ESC): $ 4,320

20. Subaru Impreza (with ESC): $ 4,360

Methodology

CarInsurance.com began with a list of 65 cars designated as 2008 Top Safety Picks by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Pricing data were drawn from Edmunds.coms True Market Value tool. Fuel economy numbers are real-world reported numbers from community members of Fuelly.com. Reliability numbers are real-world numbers of repair visits per 100 models reported by community members of TrueDelta.com.

Insurance costs for the Washington state family were based on a married couple driving a 2011 Honda Accord and a 2009 Chevrolet Traverse, with clean driving records and good credit, commuting 15 miles and 10 miles each way daily, respectively. Policy limits were 100/300/50 — $ 100,000 for injury liability for one person, $ 300,000 for all injuries and $ 50,000 for property damage in an accident — and a $ 500 deductible on collision and comprehensive coverage. The additional driver used to analyze rates was a 16-year-old male, living at home, with no violations or accidents, driving five miles one way to school, with coverage limits identical to parents policies except as noted.

Average rates are for comparative purposes. Actual rates will depend on individual driver factors.

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) February 01, 2012

Propelled by an electric engine, the rubber is hitting the road in Maryland. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), including the VA Maryland Health Care System, and 20 other federal agencies nationwide are participating in a General Services Administration (GSA) pilot to test the efficacy of electric cars by incorporating them into the Federal fleet. More than 100 electric vehicles are being leased to agencies in Maryland, California, Michigan, and other locations. At the VA Maryland Health Care System, five Think City electric cars are replacing five petroleum fuel internal combustion engine vehicles, and they will be used like any other automobile to test their capabilities, says Robert Coleman, supervisory motor vehicle operator for the health care system. The cars performance will be evaluated using four criteria: performance, fuel savings, cost, and durability.

The cars are designed for highway driving and can go as fast as 70 miles an hour, says Coleman, who wanted to test electric cars as part of the VA Maryland Health Care System fleet more than five years ago. Because it is a pilot program, no one knows how well theyll perform, but to test their capabilities, the cars will be used for travel between the Baltimore and Perry Point VA Medical Centers (a 100 mile round-trip commute) by a variety of employees, just like the cars theyre replacing.

A fully-charged electric car can run about 100 miles before it needs to be recharged and when it is depleted it takes about eight hours to recharge. To keep the cars charged, the VA installed five electric vehicle charging stations acquired by GSA. A veteran-owned company, Autoflex Inc, was contracted to install the charging stations – three at the Baltimore VA Medical Center and two at the Perry Point VA Medical Center. Coleman says a training program for employees is underway. Although the controls of the electric cars look exactly like the controls of internal combustion engine cars, when you stop the car, say at a red light, it sounds like it is not running. That will take some getting used to, he says. Coleman also indicates that the upkeep and maintenance of the electric cars remains an unknown. The cars lack a tail pipe necessary on the internal combustion engine vehicles, but they operate on two battery systems, one for the lights, radio and components, and the other for the car itself, says Coleman. It seems doable that a half-charged car will be able to travel from Perry Point to Baltimore and then be left to charge while the commuter attends meetings or conducts other business for a few hours before having to make the return trip, says Coleman.

On a recent test drive between the two medical centers, the electric car used 60 percent of its battery power, and Coleman says, it didnt feel any different than an internal combustion car. The day was cold, rainy, windyperfect for a test drive. I kept the windshield wipers and window defroster on for the entire trip. When employees who are commuting to and from the two medical centers indicate that their stay at either the Baltimore or Perry Point VA Medical Centers is less than two hours, Coleman plans to have a fresh car ready for their return trip. If the car uses 60 percent of the battery power one way, charging it for only two hours will not give the car enough power for the return trip, he says.

To acquire the cars, GSA issued the first open, competitive solicitation to request bids from all electric car vendors that could offer cars that meet Federal Vehicle Standards and comply with applicable regulatory requirements. Contracts were awarded for Chevrolet, Nissan and Think City vehicles. Since that initial award, GSA has added additional emerging technology vehicles that are available to agencies like the VA. The Veterans Integrated Service Network 5, which covers the Washington, DC, Maryland and West Virginia areas, received five Think City electric cars because their facilities seemed like a good location to participate in the pilot, says Regina M. Larrabee in the Office of Asset Enterprise Managements Green Management Program Service. The VA Maryland Health Care System is testing these cars that are capable of faster speeds and highway driving. The older types of electric vehicle are golf cart type vehicles used only for short trips in shorter distances and arent generally approved for use on public roads, she says.

Last year, GSA doubled the number of hybrid cars in the Federal fleet as part of the effort to develop practices that would lead to 100 percent alternative fuel passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks by 2015. Diversifying our transportation fleet with hybrids, electric vehicles and other alternative fuel vehicles is critical to the Presidents long-term plan to break our dependence on foreign oil and invest in our nations growing clean energy economy, and this pilot is part of that process, she says.

The VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS) provides a broad spectrum of medical, surgical, rehabilitative, mental health and outpatient care to veterans at two medical centers, one rehabilitation & extended care center and five outpatient clinics located throughout the state. More than 52,000 veterans from various generations receive care from VAMHCS annually. Nationally recognized for its state-of-the-art technology and quality patient care, VAMHCS is proud of its reputation as a leader in veterans health care, research and education. It costs nothing for Veterans to enroll for health care with the VA Maryland Health Care System and it could be one of the more important things a Veteran can do. For information about VA health care eligibility and enrollment or how to apply for a VA medical care hardship to avoid future copayments for VA health care, interested Veterans are urged to call the Enrollment Center for the VA Maryland Health Care System, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 1-800-463-6295, ext. 7324 or visit http://www.maryland.va.gov.

Article by Dirik Hameed

The words car and leasing put together usually raises some misconceptions. Before anything else, it’s important to recognize that a car lease doesn’t work on the same principles as an apartment for rent. You don’t actually throw your money away when you opt for car lease, since car leasing has been described as a form of financing where the lessee pays for the natural depreciation of a car’s value. Simply put, you just pay for the value the car loses in the natural course of things, not the whole car. Whether it be for business or personal use, a leased car can actually save a large amount of money and there are certain advantages of getting a car for leasing instead of buying one.

When you get a car for lease and van leasing, you get a chance to drive a car that is generally well beyond your means. You get to experience all the advantages of a brand new car without having to shell out (or get a loan to be able to shell out) its entire value. You can also have a relatively hassle-free time if you want to switch models, something that you won’t be able to do with as much ease when you actually own the car. Trading in models are made easier by companies that offer cars for lease and van leasing and most of the time all you have to do is fill up a form. All you have to worry about is your monthly fee, which is relatively lower than monthly payments if you’re buying a car. You don’t have to go through the motions of taking out a loan or worry about the depreciation of the car’s value with a car lease.

There are no absolute best cars for lease for business and personal use, since values are subject to changes in the economy and the release of new models. However, it’s still important to remember that the best deals when it comes to leasing a car involves models with the highest residual value, i.e., the percentage of a car’s value after a certain period of time. As earlier stated, you’re actually paying for the car’s depreciation rather than its full price when you’re leasing a car. You should research on car values before you actually go out and lease a car, since you can have lower monthly payments for cars that have higher residual values.

Although there really are no actual best models to lease, I have three personal favourite choices when it comes to car for leasing. With a residual value that’s almost 60%, the Mini Cooper convertible is on the top of most car lease lists and is also in my top three. Toyota and Nissan both produce cars that are low cost with high residuals, and the Toyota Corolla and the Nissan Sentra are great models to lease either for business or personal use.

My top three favourite cars to lease should give you an idea of what you should be looking for when you’re planning to lease a car. There are lots of available options out there, and you’re sure to find a vehicle that suits your needs as well as your budget.

Please no opinions, just companies Thanks!
