Question by Rukus1: Do I need a financial advisor?
I am a ups driver and my wife works at a language school we are both 30 and make about 120k a year. i have about 21k in stocks. I contribute 20% to my 401k ( which does NOT match) and we both have ROTHs worth only about 4k each. We have 4 years left on our 5/1 ARM for 236k on our condo which is worth about 310-330k. . we owe $ 4200 on a credit card with 0% int until feb. and $ 2200 with 9.9%. we recently signed with ameriprise financial and dow im wondering if we really need it. he is chargin us $ 500 a year. we’d like to build our wealth as quickly as possible and figure putting any money we have left over from bills to work for us is the best way.

Best answer:

Answer by Marissa Di
The first financial advise always given is use any extra money to pay off debts. Financial advisors are then an option. The extra you are putting away, some advise use to pay off the two credit card debts. About the ARM, do they allow amortization? Do you intend to reside there in four years?
When it comes time to refinance the loan, and you have amortized, you may be in a much more comfortable position, if you amortize at least 7 months of each year.

Article by Maria Elena Duron

Nowadays, branding has become an essential marketing strategy for most businesses. It’s the best way to differentiate yourself from others who offer similar products or services. It’s the reason why some customers will always buy Toyota, or are willing to wait in long lines just to be one of the first people to have an Apple iPad. It’s the reason why a simple concept such as a coffee shop can become the worldwide phenomenon that Starbucks currently is.

Building a memorable brand can be tricky, however, especially for small business owners and direct sellers. Unlike huge, multinational companies, you don’t really have the luxury of having an endless budget, as well as unlimited time and resources for branding. But don’t be discouraged, because you can successfully create a brand to remember even with a small budget. Actually, one of the things you can do is understand how these big players have created a name for themselves and how they’ve gone about their branding campaign, and you can already learn a lot of strategies you can utilize for your own small business brand.

Give excellent customer service

Zappos is a company that’s widely known for its great customer service. And you don’t have to be a huge brand with limitless budget to offer the same thing – as a direct seller or small business owner, you can easily make customer service your priority.

In this day and age when it seems that most companies are focusing on their marketing campaign while their customer service takes a backseat, offering exceptional service will really help your business stand out. Go the extra mile for your customers. Be genuinely helpful and personable. Greet them with a smile, learn their names, and anticipate their needs. Engage them in conversation and make a lasting impression. Think about it – when people have a great experience, they enjoy talking about it with their friends and family, and this will help spread the word about your brand. So make customer service your priority, and you’ll definitely be a brand to remember.

Be unique

What exactly do you have to offer that’s different from your competitors? Knowing the answer to that can help you become a memorable brand. Some of the ways you can show your uniqueness is by coming up with a unique logo or a unique tagline or message for your brand. Be creative so that your brand will be remembered. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box.

Always deliver on what you promise

Part of being a memorable brand is always delivering on what you promise. Because of your message and tagline, people expect a certain service or product from you, so ensure that your customer’s experience is always consistent. The worst thing that could happen is for a customer to expect something only to get something else. You want to be memorable in a good way, not be remembered for an awful experience.

Evaluate all aspects of your small business and your interactions with your clients. Do you offer a consistent experience to your customers? Do all the channels you utilize offer a consistent message across the board? This is important because you don’t want to confuse and disappoint your consumers. You want them to receive exactly what they expect to get from your business.

Use social media

Traditional media is typically utilized by big brands with huge budgets, but social media has been an excellent equalizer for helping small businesses promote their brands. Of course, it’s important that you utilize social media effectively – don’t just use it because everyone else is using it – understand what works first before jumping in.

Some things to remember when using social media:

Listen to your consumers, don’t just broadcast content and messages

Participate in discussions, and engage your consumers in two-way conversations

Always respond to questions, comments, and feedback

Be open to suggestions, as well as criticisms

Honestly, building a brand to remember is not just for the big guns. Even as a direct seller or small business owner, you can successfully create a brand that will resonate with your audience and be memorable in its own way. You don’t even have to have a huge budget to implement these strategies in your branding campaign. Though you may never be able to compete with big brands such as Apple, Starbucks and McDonald’s, you can, in your own way, stand out from your competitors by being unique, consistent, and giving excellent customer service.

Make Quick Money Through Network Marketing:

Donald Trump and Warren Buffet, two of the richest people in America own network marketing companies. Robert Kiyosaki, the author of the Best Selling book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad endorses network marketing as a way not only just to make quick money but also to make a serious money And who wouldn’t? It is said that 10% of new millionaires over the past 10 years have made fortune by building business through network marketing.

To be able to make quick money and succeed in network marketing, most experts agree that you should have the following attributes: you must be willing to run it like any other business. Some people who join network marketing think that they can get rich just by signing up. Bad news: just like any business, if you don’t do anything, you will not earn anything. After all, you cannot accomplish anything if you do nothing, right?

That said, in order to make quick money in network marketing, you must know the business. Your first task is to learn the industry. You have the internet and the unlimited resources that come with it. Read articles about the industry, learn from your mentors, seek support from the company, and most importantly attend any training the company provides to help you get the right skills.

You must be willing to do some real work as well. Most people enter network marketing because they think they can get rich quick. Take note, we are talking about how to make quick money and not how to get rich quick. Sure, you’ll earn decent income as starters but to be able to become a millionaire in the industry, you must think, act and work like millionaires do

Quick Ways To Make Money Blogging On Other Peoples Sites:

There’s a lot of talk about blogging as a quick way to make money online. The only problem is people managing their own blogs don’t know how to do it. So how can you make money on the internet blogging? The answer is: blog for other people’s site.

If the talent is innate, your next step is to find sites that will allow you to write on someone else’s job for fee. One of them is Creative Weblogging. The site offers bloggers like you a quick way to make money simply by allowing you to create blogs on one of the sites they manage. The good thing is you don’t need to have a personal blog or show any experience in blogging before you can apply.

Another option is to write for other companies on your existing blog. Pay U 2 Blog is a good system to create a quick way to make money. Conditions usually involve adding on your post a link to their site, product, keyword or latest promo. Companies usually pay top dollars per post since links from blogs are given more value by search engines, hence their company gets more credit in SEO.

There are also people who are looking for bloggers to manage their personal blogs. These people can be searched on ad sites. Rates vary depending on the client’s budget, your talent, and how large and long the project will be. But if you market yourself as premium blogger and you show it to your posts, blogging is definitely a quick way to make money.

Make Money Quickly As A Virtual Assistant:

You lose your job and you want to make money quickly, what would you do? If you have administrative skills, you can become a virtual assistant. What’s a virtual assistant and how to look for such job?

The best thing about the internet is that you can work for people from different parts of the world without leaving your home. As a virtual assistant, your work is sent via email and you send your work via email as well. And as long as you are efficient, you can make money quickly and attract more and more clients who are desperate to find someone who can do the job for them.

The logic is very simple: why work in the office when you can do the same tasks at home? Same thing is true with employers: why hire people to work at their offices if they can hire a virtual assistant? With a combination of email, online messaging, and telephone, you can keep in touch all over the world and connect with your employers wherever they are. As a virtual assistant you can make money quickly without the need to experience the 8-5 grind.

Visit any website that invites freelancers to sign up for work. You can find employers who look for virtual assistants. Look for the job you want to bid on. Just like applying for a job, make sure that your post or bid is realistic and you project yourself as happy, smart and fun to work with. Now, that’s how to make money quickly as a virtual assistant.

Question by muldervskrycek: Is the state of english premier league a danger?
I dunno about everyone else but I can see the English premier league becoming seriously compromised if all the clubs keep getting taken over by new owners. It might get to the stage that as to where the team finishes depends upon how much wealth the club has.
The Everton chairman came out this week and said that they need a billionaire owner in order to compete. That’s not a good sign surely.
Also I’m sure it might have a very bad effect upon the National team in years to come. Teams are not going to depend on their youth systems as much as they used to.
I know the current situation isn’t disastrous, but I wonder what it will be like in five years time.

More than 1,700 people have been arrested in England after nearly a week of rioting that started Saturday, and courthouses have had to stay open overnight to deal with the flood of defendants, the AP reports.

Prime Minister David Cameron has vowed "swift justice" for those who participated in the riots, which were sparked by the police shooting of 29-year-old Mark Duggan. Cameron has even proposed setting limits on the use of Twitter, Facebook, and BlackBerry’s direct messaging service, which was reportedly used to organize the rioting. Some people have already been charged with inciting violence on social media, according to the AP.

Cameron’s former adviser Danny Kruger wrote in the Financial Times that the riots are the "intifada of the underclass." But among those arrested are a straight-A Exeter University student whose family wealth makes it unlikely she would loot out of necessity, and a 24-year-old college graduate and aspiring social worker whose mother said, "She didn’t want a TV. She doesn’t even know why she took it," according to The Daily Mail.

Daniel Knowles at The Telegraph argues that, "Many of these criminals are no different from [liberal politician] Nick Clegg, who at the age of 16 narrowly escaped a conviction in Germany for setting fire to a professor’s cactus collection for a ‘drunken lark.’ Or, for that matter, from the Bullingdon Club, of which David Cameron and [London Mayor] Boris Johnson were members, which goes around smashing up restaurants.

There is something deeply hypocritical about middle-aged politicians condemning teenagers as though these sorts of crimes have never happened before."

But London Mayor Boris Johnson said Londoners want to see "significant sentences" for anyone involved in looting or violence.

Here’s a breakdown of some of the news-making arresting over the past few days:

—The Olympic ambassador

Eighteen-year-old Chelsea Ives, a volunteer ambassador for next year’s Olympic Games, was turned in by her own mother who spotted her on TV footage of the riots. "How can you sit there and see that and say ‘that’s OK’? We were watching people lose their homes and businesses," Ives’ mother told The Telegraph. "As parents we had to say; ‘She can’t get away with that.’" Ives, who previously met with London’s mayor as part of her ambassador duties, now faces charges of throwing a brick at a cop car and burglary. She pleaded not guilty.

—The youngest suspect?

An 11-year-old girl was reportedly given a 9-month "referral order" after witnesses said she hurled rocks at two store windows during the riots, according to the Daily Mail. The girl lives in a foster home, and the Daily Mail says she refused to apologize to the judge who sentenced her.

—The ballerina-turned-looter

A 17-year-old ballerina turned herself in after images of her looting were published in a newspaper and broadcast on TV, according to the Telegraph. The footage showed her taking two televisions from an electronics store.

—The straight-A student

Laura Johnson, the 19-year-old daughter of well-to-do parents and a straight-A student at Exeter University, is accused of stealing electronic goods worth thousands of dollars in London. She pleaded not guilty but has a curfew of 7 p.m. and must wear an electronic tag before her court date, according to the Telegraph. Her parents run a marketing firm.

—The social worker

University graduate and aspiring social worker Natasha Reid turned herself in when she became overcome by guilt over stealing a TV from a electronics store while on her way to McDonalds during the looting. According to the AP, a judge told 24-year-old Reid she would probably face jail time.

—The violin thief

A 19-year-old aspiring musician grabbed a violin from a looted music store before being nabbed by the cops. According to the Daily Mail, he was sentenced to four months in jail.
.

Paul Haarman – theelevationgroup.com Find out more about Mike Dillard’s The Elevation Group and Paul Haarman In this official video preview of The Elevation Group, Mike Dillard talk’s about one of his rule on building wealth. This is an Official video from Mike Dillard and The Elevation Group. My natural tendency is to live in the future… While most people are making decisions based on what’s happening today, I find myself playing out scenarios 5-20 years over the horizon. For example, what we’re working on behind the scenes inside The Elevation Group has little to do with EVG as you’ve come to know it. The questions we’re asking ourselves and the decisions we’re making now, are based on the impact they will have on the future school system we’re going to build over the next 20 years…find out more at the link below!
